FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Does UdyogFlow handle last management and size-pair runs?

Yes. Last master is tied to size grading so buyer POs are entered as size pair runs that auto-roll-up to material needs. You can have multiple lasts per style. Pair allocation across cartons follows your buyer's run ratio (e.g. 5/6/7/8/9 = 2:3:4:3:1) — no manual splitting in Excel.

Can I track upper and sole production separately on different lines?

Yes. Upper and sole are separate operations on the production board, each with daily output by line / operator. Upper cutting, upper stitching, sole receipt, lasting, finishing, pair packing — all distinct gates. The order doesn't move forward until matched pair counts reconcile, so you can't ship 100 uppers with 90 soles.

How does sub-contractor send-and-receive work for footwear?

Material issue voucher generates on send-out, captured by sub-contractor name and lot. On receipt, the GRN reconciles against issued material — scrap, short-shipments and quality rejects all accounted for. Common flows (sole sourcing, upper stitching, lasting) are templated, so setup takes minutes per sub-contractor.

Will pair-level packing and carton mixes per buyer work out of the box?

Yes. Pair packing lists are native. Each buyer can have their own carton mix specification (e.g. "2x size 7, 3x size 8, 2x size 9 per carton") and the system generates labels automatically. Mismatch alerts go up if a pair allocation can't fit the requested carton mix.

Can supervisors record cutting, lasting, finishing output over WhatsApp?

Yes — one message per update. "ORD-2026-018 lasting 240" goes to the factory WhatsApp number and lands on the production board live. Hindi, Hinglish, Tamil and Punjabi parsing all work. Voice messages get transcribed first. Audit trail keeps the original chat alongside the parsed entry.

Does UdyogFlow generate GST and export invoices for footwear shipments?

Yes. GST tax invoices with HSN, export invoices with FOB / CIF / CFR Incoterms and multi-currency support. BLs attach on dispatch, buyer dispatch email goes automatically, shipping bill data is exportable for ICEGATE. Per-order P&L shows margin per pair the moment the invoice is raised.

How is UdyogFlow different from Tally for a footwear factory?

Tally posts entries after the work is done. UdyogFlow runs the work: lasts, BOM, cutting, lasting, pair packing, dispatch — then feeds clean GST entries to Tally. Your CA still uses Tally. You stop chasing supervisors on WhatsApp and Excel for production status. The system tells you what's late, where.

How long does implementation take for a 150-person footwear factory?

A 150-person footwear factory is typically live in 2–3 weeks on Growth. Week one: lasts, styles, BOM, vendor / sub-contractor master, buyer master. Week two: WhatsApp integration, floor training. Week three: parallel run with your existing process. Founder-led implementation, no third-party SI middleman.
