UdyogFlow for leather goods

For leather bag, wallet and accessory factories — hide grading, cutting waste, component sub-assembly, finishing.

Common workflows

What we handle out of the box.

  • Sample → costing → buyer approval → order
  • Hide grading and lot management
  • Cutting waste tracking against allowed wastage %
  • Component sub-assembly (handles, linings, hardware)
  • Final QC, polishing, packing, dispatch

Leather goods-specific bits

What makes this industry different.

Hide grading & lot

Track hides by grade (A/B/C), lot, area in sq ft. Cutting waste rolls up against the allowed wastage % per style.

Hardware BOM

Buckles, zips, rivets — vendor master with lead time, MOQ, and reorder triggers.

Sub-assembly stations

Track WIP at sub-assembly stations (handle making, lining, edge paint) — board view per station.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Does UdyogFlow track hide grading and lot management properly for leather?

Yes. Hides are tracked by grade (A/B/C), lot, vendor and area in square feet. Each cutting issue ties back to specific lots so wastage rolls up per lot, per style. You can ask "which hide grades gave us the most wastage last month" and get an answer with the source rows. Native, not a workaround.

Can I set allowed wastage % per style and get alerted when we cross it?

Yes. Every style has an allowed cutting wastage %, set on the BOM. The system tracks actual wastage live against issue, and your merchandiser gets a WhatsApp alert the moment a cut order crosses the threshold. The alert names the order, the style, and how much over you are.

Do you handle hardware BOM — buckles, zips, rivets — with vendor lead times?

Yes. Hardware items live in the standard item master with HSN, MOQ, lead time and reorder trigger per vendor. BOMs reference these like any other line, so shortage lists auto-include hardware and POs go out to the right vendor on time. Photo references attach to each item to avoid wrong receipts.

How does sub-assembly station tracking work for handle making and lining?

Each sub-assembly station (handle making, lining, edge paint, finishing) is a stage on the production board. Daily output gets recorded per station per order, either from web or WhatsApp. You see WIP at each station live, with bottlenecks highlighted. Bundles travel between stations with QR labels.

Will my supervisors record cutting and finishing output over WhatsApp?

Yes — that's how supervisors update production in UdyogFlow. They send a message to the factory's WhatsApp number — "ORD-2026-042 cutting 80" — and the system records it instantly. No new app to learn, no separate login. Works for cutting, sub-assembly, finishing and packing equally.

Does UdyogFlow generate GST-compliant invoices for leather goods exports?

Yes. GST tax invoices with HSN, export invoices with FOB / CIF / CFR Incoterms, and e-invoice JSON for the IRP portal. Multi-currency with FX lock per order. Your CA pulls clean entries into Tally for the GST return. Bills of Lading and packing lists attach to the dispatch automatically.

How is this different from a generic ERP forced onto a leather factory?

Generic ERPs ignore hide grading, sq-ft tracking, and per-style wastage % — you'd build workarounds for months. UdyogFlow has those as first-class concepts, designed in conversation with leather factory owners. Sub-assembly stations, hardware BOM, finishing QC: all native. You don't bend your process to the software.

How long does implementation take for a 100-person leather goods factory?

A 100-person leather factory is typically live in 2 weeks on Growth. Week one: hide / item master, BOM versions, vendor master, buyer master. Week two: WhatsApp integration, floor training, parallel run. Implementation is founder-led — no third-party SI charges, no waterfall handoff. You're in production by week three.
